1. Overview

Sanatan Setu is a scripture-based guidance app (Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharata, Ramayana). We do not operate user login accounts. This policy describes data used for guidance features, optional voice input, advertising (when enabled), consent, and analytics/diagnostics (when enabled).

2. Data We Collect

Language preference — stored locally on your device (AsyncStorage).
Ask usage limits (local) — on-device counters for free daily questions and rewarded-ad unlocks.
Voice input (optional) — processed by Google Speech Recognition on Android or Apple Speech on iOS. We do not store audio on our servers.
Typed questions — may be sent to Google Gemini or a configured server to generate an answer. We do not associate questions with a user account.
Advertising & device identifiers (when ads are enabled) — Google AdMob may use Advertising ID (or equivalents), IP address, device/app info, and approximate location from IP to serve and measure ads (personalized or non-personalized per your consent and region).
Analytics & diagnostics (when enabled) — Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics (or similar) may collect usage events, performance, and crash data.
Consent choices — Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) may store your ad-consent choices where required (e.g. EEA, UK, Switzerland).

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not require name, email, or phone for accounts; we do not use precise GPS; we do not access contacts or photos.

4. Advertising

The app may show Google AdMob ads (banner, interstitial, rewarded). After a daily free Ask limit, you may choose to watch a rewarded ad to unlock more questions. Refusing does not block Gita reading. We do not reward clicks on ads.

5. Third-Party Services

Google Gemini — AI answers when configured.
Google Mobile Ads / AdMob — advertising when enabled.
Google UMP — consent management where required.
Firebase — Analytics, Remote Config, and/or Crashlytics when enabled.
Platform speech — Google (Android) / Apple (iOS) for optional voice input.
Expo / EAS — app build and distribution telemetry per Expo’s policy.

6. Your Choices

Use in-app consent / privacy options when shown; limit Advertising ID in device settings; uninstall to clear local app data; or email us for privacy requests.

7. Children

This app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
